5、 Silo construction -- comparison between steel silo and concrete silo

Since the 1980s, China's silo construction has entered a fast lane, especially in the late 1990s. The construction of port silos is based on 22 per year × The storage capacity of 10000m3 increases at a faster rate. At present, the silo capacity of port silos alone has reached 260 × 10000 m3。 If the silos of storage and grain processing enterprises are added, the scale of silos in China exceeds 800 × 10000 m3。 The silo scale is large, but it is divided into steel silo and concrete silo according to the materials used in silo construction. At present, steel silos are mostly used in domestic silo construction. There are the following differences between steel plate warehouse and concrete warehouse.

1、 Cost:

The steel plate warehouse is much lower than the concrete warehouse. Taking the silo with the scale of 100000 cubic meters as an example, the average storage capacity cost of steel silo is generally 110 ~ 130 yuan / m3. The concrete warehouse needs 330 ~ 390 yuan / m3.

2、 Foundation bearing capacity:

The average steel plate warehouse is only 0.36t/m2; The concrete warehouse is 4.2 T / m2. With the increase of foundation bearing capacity, it is inevitable to increase the treatment of foundation. The cost of concrete warehouse is much higher than that of steel warehouse.

3、 Construction period:

After the steel warehouse is equipped with the installation of the warehouse body, the warehouse body construction of one warehouse can be completed in an average of 11.5 days per group, and there is no curing period. For the silo with the scale of 100000 cubic meters, the general construction period of the steel silo body is 80 days for the concrete silo. The construction period of concrete silo shall be at least 180 days.

4、 Repeatability and service life:

The service life of steel plate warehouse is 25 years and that of concrete warehouse is 50 years. After the service life of the steel warehouse is reached, the original warehouse body can be removed and the steel warehouse body can be renewed, while the concrete warehouse cannot.

5、 Heat storage:

The transmission of heat in grain decreases with the increase of transmission thickness. When the outside temperature is 40 ℃, the heat can only penetrate the grain 2m thick within 10 hours. The temperature of the steel plate warehouse will soon decrease with the decrease of the external temperature, and the grain temperature in the warehouse will also decrease, and the grain temperature has basically maintained a balance; In the concrete warehouse, due to the strong heat storage of cement, the heat emission is far lower than the absorption speed and slow. The heat absorbed by the grain in the warehouse through the warehouse wall is difficult to be dissipated through the warehouse wall in the next cycle. The grain temperature in the warehouse gradually increased.

In short, the construction of silo is better than that of concrete silo in terms of cost and construction period.
