When the conveying capacity and process conditions are the same, the power consumption is 10 ~ 25% less than that of idler conveyor. The larger the conveying capacity is, the longer the conveying distance is, the more significant the energy-saving effect is.
(2) Light weight. Because the air box adopts box section, the longitudinal support of air cushion belt conveyor can bear large bending moment and torque; In addition, due to the small number of idlers (only several sets of transition idlers are set at both ends of the conveyor), the number and thickness of belt layers are small, the self weight is light, and the strength coefficient and stiffness coefficient per unit self weight are relatively large, which greatly improves the overload capacity of the equipment.
(3) Long service life. The air cushion belt conveyor is convenient to realize the protective sealing of the whole line. At the same time, due to the small tension of the belt, less friction loss, no deviation and no tearing of the belt, and the cooling effect of the air cushion on the belt, the service life of the belt can be extended by 1 ~ 2 times, and the service life of the equipment is much longer than that of the idler conveyor.
(4) Low maintenance costs. The air cushion belt conveyor uses the air cushion to replace the supporting roller, which has less rotating parts, less accident points, strong reliability and small friction loss, thus greatly reducing the maintenance workload and maintenance cost. Practice has proved that the maintenance cost of air cushion conveyor is 60 ~ 75% lower than that of idler conveyor.
(5) Stable transportation and reliable operation. During the operation of the idler conveyor, the conveyor belt runs forward in a wavy manner, with serious material bumping and scattering, belt deviation and large friction loss. The air cushion conveyor completely overcomes the above shortcomings and runs very smoothly without bumping, scattering, deviation and dust. It will not automatically classify the particle size of bulk materials. It is especially suitable for conveying mixed bulk materials prepared according to the process proportion.
(6) The starting power is low and can be started directly at full load. The power of idlers is generally 1.5 ~ 5 times that of the full load conveyor, and it is difficult to start up, which is about 1.5 times that of the full load conveyor. As long as a stable air cushion layer is formed, there is little difference between the starting power and operating power of the driving motor, and the air cushion belt conveyor can be started directly without taking any auxiliary measures when the whole line is fully loaded.
(7) High conveying capacity. The optimum running speed of air cushion belt conveyor is 3 ~ 4m / s, the minimum running speed is 0.8m/s, and the maximum running speed is 12m / s. Therefore, the conveying capacity can be greatly improved. In addition, it has large loading section and good stability. Under the same conveying capacity and process conditions, the air cushion machine can be reduced by 1 ~ 2 models, that is, when the idler conveyor needs to adopt b1200, the air cushion conveyor only needs to adopt b1000 or B800; The roller machine adopts 6 layers of strong belt, and the air cushion machine only needs 3 ~ 4 layers of ordinary belt or light belt, which greatly saves the investment.
(8) Suitable for sealing and less pollution. The air cushion belt conveyor is equipped with a closed air box along the captain, which can seal the whole line. It is easy to install protective cover and safety facilities. It is suitable for closed transportation and installation of dust suction device, with less pollution, low noise, purifying the environment and realizing civilized production.
